Quality Manager Salary: $130,000–$150,000 Relocation assistance is available Position Overview Our client, a leading automotive components manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its plant-level quality function. This position will oversee the quality team, maintain the facility’s quality management systems, and drive continuous improvement throughout the operation. The ideal candidate will bring strong automotive manufacturing experience, working knowledge of IATF and ISO standards, and a proven ability to resolve complex quality issues involving customers, suppliers, and internal production processes. Responsibilities Lead, develop, and manage Quality Department employees. Maintain and improve the plant’s quality management and document control systems. Ensure manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality requirements. Lead root-cause investigations and corrective action planning. Monitor corrective actions through implementation and verification. Drive plant-wide continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Partner with Process Engineering on process improvements and engineering changes. Support prototype builds, data collection, and quality reporting. Develop systems for collecting, maintaining, and analyzing quality data. Support customer and supplier quality concerns, including onsite visits when needed. Maintain compliance with IATF, ISO, company, union, and regulatory requirements. Communicate quality performance, concerns, and improvement plans to plant leadership. Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. At least eight years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous quality leadership or supervisory experience. Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of IATF, ISO, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Experience reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and reviewing engineering specifications. Working knowledge of CMM inspection and dimensional layout methods. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software. Six Sigma certification is preferred. Union manufacturing experience is beneficial.
